Canna-Blissful Body Budda

Raw natural shea and cocoa butters and coconut oil, infused with 12 different herbs that are nourishing to the skin, and whipped to a perfect spreadable consistency. Use sparingly on whole body and hair. Store in a cool, dark place.

Firstly, Oils and Butters Are Not Moisturizing

Oils and butters feed the skin, but water and water-based products like lotions and special masks and gels are what actually moisturize the skin and hair. Use plant oils and butters after showering, when the pores are open and moisturized, to seal in moisture. This rule goes for both skin and hair.

Key Benefits of Canna-Blissful Body Budda

  • Herbal Infusion: Canna-Blissful Body Budda is infused with 12 different herbs- dried ginger, cinnamon, orange peel, yarrow, chamomile, mullein, black seeds, star anise, rosemary, cloves, and cannabis fan leaves and flowers.

  • All-natural plant fats: We use only all natural butters of shea and cocoa, and coconut oil and extra virgin olive oil.

  • Whipped for smooth application: The Body Budda is easy to apply and it goes on smoothly and spreads far across the skin to make a nourishing barrier.

  • Safe for all skin types: The product is safe for hair, body, face, and even sensitive areas. If you have a history of skin allergies or hypersensitive skin, please do a patch test on a small area of skin first.

Enhancing Skin Health with Cellular Repair

Cannabis is the star herbal ingredient in the Body Budda, but it's also supported by other well-known skin health and immune boosting herbs like black seed, chamomile, and mullein. Cannabis has potent anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and moisturizing properties to soothe irritation, regulate oil, slow aging, and support the skin's barrier, benefiting conditions like acne, eczema, and dryness.

How Herbs Improve Effectiveness

  • Skin Specific Herbs: Shea and Cocoa Butters, Coconut and Olive Oils, Chamomile, Mullein, Orange Peel, and 100% pure essential oils of Thuja, Sweet Orange, and Palmarosa.

  • Immune Boosting Herbs: Black seed, Olive oil, Yarrow, Rosemary, Cloves, and 100% pure essential oils of Frankincense and Patchouli.

  • Support Herbs: Ginger, Cinnamon, Star Anise, Cloves, and 100% pure Cinnamon Essential Oil are all used for their warming benefits. As you smooth on the Body Budda, these herbs help its nutrients penetrate into the skin.

Areas to Use Canna-Blissful Body Budda

  • Skin: Use the Body Budda all over as a moisture sealant after every shower.

  • Hair: Use after washing and conditioning hair to seal in moisture.

  • Burns, aches, and irritated areas: Use on closed wounds, burns (including sunburn), rub into aching muscles, and to treat dry, itchy skin patches.

Access More Skin Therapy Tips

As with all health care protocols, it's very important to stay hydrated from within. Drinking structured water, teas, and eating hydrating foods like fruits, vegetables, and soups are a sure way to hydrate the skin, hair, and essential organs of the body.

Benefits of Kitchen-Natural Skin Care

  • Edible Ingredients: Whole, recognizable ingredients are the future! What we put on our body is consumed through our pores. Make sure to use all-natural, kitchen-grade skin and hair care products because that's what your skin eats.

  • Easy to Consume: The body loves natural foods. It responds to them quickly and uptakes all the nutrients it needs from them.

  • Easy to Source: Many herbs and foods are easy to obtain, even on the go. Grocers, farmers markets, and sometimes even convenience stores will carry products you can use to care for your skin. Oranges, banana peels, avocado meat and skins, red onions, flax seeds, and coffee grinds just name a few everyday kitchen products that can improve the look and feel of your skin.

*Note: While roses are generally great for skin care, conventionally grown roses are sprayed with harsh chemicals and should not be consumed or used in skin care.

Focus on the Future

Beauty care awareness is growing, and soon enough, it'll be common knowledge to avoid some of the products that we became accustomed to while growing up. Natural skin care doesn't need to be expensive or even very elaborate to get real results. The internet and social media have opened pathways to learning that can be highly effective in turning our habits around to form new, natural, and sustainable ones. As always, do your own research and conduct practices on yourself with consistency to gauge real results.

How Cosmetics Effect Core Body Functions

  • Skin Barrier and Hydration: Moisturizers and lotions (containing humectants like glycerin or emollients) manage moisture levels in the skin's outer layer, while cleansers and surfactants remove oil and dirt, impacting the it's natural barrier.

  • Protection and Repair: Active ingredients like antioxidants, niacinamide, and caffeine can support cellular repair, reduce inflammation, and enhance skin metabolism.

  • Endocrine System Disruption: Certain chemical ingredients, including preservatives like phthalates and parabens, act as endocrine disruptors, interfering with hormonal regulation and reproductive health.

  • Neurological and Sensory Impact: Fragrances (especially synthetics) can cause headaches, mood changes, and other neurological effects, including turning on genes that cause neurological defects. Conversely, "neurocosmetics" aim to evoke positive emotions and reduce stress.

  • Microcirculation and Collagen: Ingredients such as caffeine can improve skin microcirculation. Other treatments may aim to influence collagen, the structural protein necessary for skin strength and elasticity.

Improving Natural Detoxification

Everyday, implement a breathing practice, at least a 30-minute walk, fresh air, hydration, and supercharged foods for a natural detox the body can handle.

Health Maintenance Practices

  • Deep breathing and physical exercise: There is no substitute for physical exercise or the deep clarity that breath work offers us. I like to say that there's nothing the breath can't heal from the perspective of physical and mental ailments. Deep breathing transforms the body, supports its vital systems, improves circulation, and even increases physical beauty. Our bodies were designed for frequent motion. More often than not, symptoms can be managed and even cured by increased physicality. There is plenty of science available to us to support this. However you exercise, use your breath to help.

  • Supplements: Supplements are only as good as the blood circulation, digestion, and liver function that they meet. Approach supplementation when you know that your body is functioning optimally to receive the benefits.

  • Grief work (journaling and therapy): In the West, most of our experiences with loss come at a higher cost than we prepare for. To bridge the gap, we can prepare in small ways by practicing loss of everyday things- effectively enabling greater discipline in ourselves, and highlighting what's truly important in our lives. Practice journaling and talking aloud to see how your innermost experiences come to life. Implement therapeutic practices into your regular routine, whether it's talking to a friend or a professional, having healing massage, having baths or sauna sessions, or just turning out your lights at night and getting good rest.

Continuous Improvement

Pace yourself for a steady and slow-burning evolution in consciousness. Remember there is no rush to a goal, nor anything to prove when you commit to your wellness. You keep learning and growing overtime, and sometimes, you'll uncover something beautifully surprising about yourself that makes you glad to choose your highest wellness, everyday.

A Note from the Founder

I grew up training to become a performing artist, and I still perform on special occasions. However, I started fostering a close relationship with plants when I worked on a 3-acre cannabis farm in Northern California in 2011. I found a passion for outdoor labor, and since then, I’ve started and maintained various gardens- indoor and outdoor- that feature ornamentals, herbs, and food. As a performance artist, I started driving toward the inter-connection between people and Nature. Between 2016 and 2018, I collaboratively created events and gathering spaces to foster such connections. I took farm training at Soul Fire Farm where their mission is to dismantle racism in the food system. I then successfully produced a series of seven outdoor concerts in the Washington, DC area that featured local Black and Brown farmers and showcased talented Black Folk artists from across the mid-Atlantic region. I then helped form a small cooperative, called Stellar Roots, to establish a land-based refuge in rural central Virginia as an escape from the pressures of city life.

Inspired by all the plants in my own self-care journey, Green Kitchen Naturals weaves together my passions for art, nature, people, and community in the hopes that it helps people embrace their own beauty and innate connection to the natural world.
